Life after...
Oct. 29th, 2025 04:07 pmLosing someone you love is hard. Everyone acknowledges that easily. But no one really talks about the little things. Talking over breakfast. Little messages throughout the day. But the hardest thing I've had to adjust to has been the lack of casual intimacy. Kisses on cheeks. A hand pressed to a shoulder.
Touch starvation was not something I expected. I have my kids who hug me all of the time. But the touch of a partner is different and I find myself bereft in ways I never realized possible before.
I forgot how much writing helped me when I was younger. Just getting the words out can be soothing. And maybe help me heal.
